Greg earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and is licensed in the state of Tennessee.

Nick received a Chemistry degree and MBA from California State University in Sacramento, and earned a Ph.D. in Applied Management from Walden University in 2016. His dissertation focused on the strategies used to capture the experience-based knowledge of retiring electrical engineers at electrical utilities. He began testing electrical insulating fluids and managing analytical laboratories in 1987. Nick’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the international operations of the AVO analytical testing laboratories, the technical training of clients, and contributing to industry standards development. Nick’s technical experience includes membership in the ASTM D-27 Technical Committee, the IEEE PES Transformers Committee, IEC TC10, and CIGRE working groups on Dissolved Gas Analysis.

Jinesh Malde has worked for M&I Materials Inc. since 2016 as a Senior Applications Engineer providing technical support to customers on use of natural and synthetic esters in transformers. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University, Southfield MI. For 3 years he worked as Transformer Design Engineer at Marcie Electric Inc. followed by 6 years at Weidmann Electrical Technology Inc. as Distribution Transformer Engineer. Mr. Malde is a member of the IEEE Transformers Committee, participating in several working groups, task forces, and as Vice-Chair of Insulation Life Subcommittee. He is a member of the ASTM Committee D27 - Electrical Insulating Liquid and Gases.

Volney Naranjo received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia. After graduation, he worked in the areas of electrical design, and testing and commissioning of power systems as field engineer and project manager. In 2011 joined the Technical Support Group at Megger as an Applications Engineer focusing on the products for transformer, low voltage and high voltage circuit breakers, batteries and power quality testing.
He participates in the IEEE Energy Storage and Stationary Battery committee and has published articles in conferences such as TechCon, PowerTest, TSDOS, BattCon, and EIC as well as technical magazines.

Yaw Nyanteh is currently a senior electrical design engineer since 2020. He has been part of design projects for various customers including AEP, Florida Power and Light and Xcel Energy.
Yaw Nyanteh obtained a doctoral degree in Electrical engineering from the Florida State University and has since pursued a career in electromagnetic energy systems. He has previously worked at the Texas Center for Applied Superconductivity of the University of Houston as a research fellow and was an R&D engineer with the Power Transformer Division of the Mitsubishi Electric Power Products Incorporated from 2017 to 2020.

Mr. Sami Debass oversees research on large power transformers, switchyards, and grid reliability for nuclear plants. He directs the annual Transformer and Switchyard Users Group, a global industry forum. Previously, he spent a decade at Exelon Generation (Constellation) as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for large power transformers in Corporate Engineering. Before that, Debass managed transformer and switchyard asset management for Calvert Cliff, R.E. Ginna, and Nine Mile Point Nuclear facilities at Constellation Energy. In addition, he ensured compliance with NERC and FERC regulations while holding a Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech & Mercer University, actively engaging with IEEE & CIGRE.

Drew Welton was previously the Vice President of Sales and Technical Services for Beckwith Electric, and North American Regional Manager for OMICRON electronics, starting in 1997. Prior to his career with OMICRON, Welton was a Regional Sales Manager with Beckwith Electric, and served as National Sales Director for Substation Automation with AREVA T&D. Welton has written numerous articles on substation maintenance testing and has conducted training sessions for substation technicians and engineers at utilities and universities across North America. He is a 25-year Senior Member of IEEE-PES, IAS, and an active member of the Transformers Committee. He has been a contributor on a number of IEEE PSRC working groups and presented at industry conferences specific to power system protection and control. He was the 2022 recipient of NETA’s Alliance Partner Award for outstanding contributions and has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colorado.

Dr. Peter Werelius developed the first Dielectric Frequency Response IDAx system for field use in 1992-1997 as part of a Ph.D. project at Kungl. Tekniska Högskolan (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. Based on his Ph.D. studies he founded WaBtech in 1996 commercialize the DFR instrument. He continues work with the technology within Programma (later GE and now Megger) until he founded Pax Diagnostics, start-up by develop a SFRA test instrument, FRAX. Both instruments now belonging to Megger group. He has several patents and is active in standards work, both in IEC and in IEEE, with speciality in diagnostic testing of power transformers.

Bruce Forsyth is the Global Application Engineering Manager for Cargill Bioindustrial. He is responsible for leading the activities of a global team of Application Engineers providing support for Cargill’s bioindustrial fluids. Bruce received his BS degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Winnipeg and his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in multiple states, a Senior Member of IEEE, as well as a member of IEC TC10 and TC14, CIGRE USA, and NSPE. Bruce has been an active member of the IEEE Transformers Committee for over 30 years and had the privilege of serving as Chair of the Transformers Committee for the 2020-2021 term. His past roles have provided him with in-depth experience in all aspects of transformer design, manufacturing, forensic analysis, and sales. His current interest is in the application of natural ester liquids in distribution and power transformer design.

Ken Petroff is the Business Product Portfolio Manager for Megger Valley Forge and has direct responsibility for the Transformer Product Category of portable offline electromechanical transformer test equipment. Ken began his career at Megger 11 years ago in the engineering department as a software technician and design assurance supervisor before moving into product management in 2018. Ken uses his Organizational Communications degree to bring a unique perspective to the design of test equipment, focusing on the underserved customer needs of user experience, training, results interpretation, and asset assessment to improve customers maintenance activity decisions.
